RFD: House fire on Radio Street was caused by a battery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Fire Department says a house fire on Radio Street was caused by a battery.

Crews responded to the fire on Tuesday morning and a man had to be rescued from the second floor of a home. He was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and was released.

Fire officials say a lithium-ion battery inside a hover-board started the fire.
