Bills lose to Titans after back-and-forth game Monday night

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WHEC) — The Buffalo Bills lost to the Tennessee Titans Monday night after a close back-and-forth.

The Bills entered the second half of the game strong finishing Q2 at 20-17 but the Titans ended up re-taking the lead in the second half, finishing 34-31.

Other football fans were quick to point out — this is the team that lost to the Jets.

With 11:20 left in Q2, the Titans were 7-6, but the Bills quickly caught up as star quarterback Josh Allen threw to wide receiver and close friend Stefon Diggs, bumping the Bills up to 13-7.

News10NBC Sports Anchor Jackson Roberts was impressed.

The Titans closed in on their lead with a field goal as the end of the second half ticked closer… then took the lead back with a TD by QB Ryan Tannehill.

With 40 seconds left in the first half, Allen found wide receiver Cole Beasley for a touchdown. Buffalo ended the first half of the game 20-17.

The Bills maintained the lead in the third quarter with some more great plays by Allen, helping tight end Tommy Sweeny get his first career TD.

Tight end Dawson Knox was taken off the field in the third with a hand injury.

The Bills’ offense has scored 34 points a game while the defense has given up just under thirteen points on average, whereas Tennessee’s 26 points allowed per game is the ninth-worst across the league and they’re in the middle of the pack when it comes to third and fourth-down defense along with stopping opponents in the red zone.
