ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Red Wings’ season may be done, but they are celebrating a huge win Tuesday: Second baseman Jake Noll was named AAA East All-Star.

Noll led the league in hits — with 28 doubles, three triples, and 17 home runs in 118 games this season.

"I think he’s bought into what he needs to do to go to the big leagues," said Red Wings Manager Matt LeCroy. "I had him at 18, him and Carter came up from A-ball and I just loved the way he played the game, he can run the bases, he can, you know, it’s his defense that he really has to improve on to get that chance to play every day at the big league level, but he constantly was trying to get better, he moved around, he did the work to have a great season."

and for those of you dealing with a bit of withdrawal, you’re not alone.

The Red Wings took to Twitter late last night to say "If you’re reading this, you’ve survived day 1 of the offseason. Congratulations. 189 more to go."
