Deputies release name of pedestrian who died after being hit by car in Genesee County

ALABAMA, N.Y. — The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says Richard Alan Jones, Jr., 44, is the man who died after being hit by a car in the Town of Alabama on Wednesday night.
Deputies say the man was hit around 8:20 p.m. while he was walking on Route 63. He died at the scene after being hit by a 67-year-old man from Elba.
Ambulance crews, the Alabama Fire Department, and New York State Police responded to the scene. The sheriff’s office is investigating the crash.
