Man shot and killed in apartment off Lake Avenue identified

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police Major Crimes detectives are working the city’s latest homicide Thursday morning.
Around midnight. police went to an apartment building in northwest Rochester, right off Lake Avenue near Glendale Park. They found a 25-year-old man shot and killed in an apartment. On Friday, police released the identity of the victim: Alejandro Jay Ruiz-Rosado, 24, of Rochester.
Police went door to door checking the other apartments in the building to make sure no one else was hurt. The deadly shooting marks the city’s 56th homicide of 2021.
No arrests have been made.
