Penfield firefighters rescue elderly dog from Irondequoit Creek

PENFIELD, N.Y. Penfield firefighters sprang into action Tuesday to rescue a dog trapped in high water.
It happened in Irondequoit Creek. Firefighters say an elderly dog named Sasha fell in and became trapped by roots. They rushed into the water and freed Sasha, reuniting her with her owner.
She was immediately taken to a local vet and is recovering.
