Police break up large fight on city’s northside

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police had to break up a large fight on the city’s northside. It happened shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday near Berlin Street and Hudson Avenue.

Officers say some 30 people were fighting, breaking glass, and yelling. Some of them reportedly had bats and knives.

After shots were fired in the area, a man with a gun entered a home on Berlin Street.

Police shut down Berlin Street to traffic during their investigation and were able to get everyone out of the location safely.

The street reopened to traffic later Sunday night. No one was arrested.
