Car crashes into building on Monroe Ave in Brighton

BRIGHTON, N.Y. — Nobody was seriously injured when a car careened across five lanes of traffic into a building at Clover Commons on Monroe Avenue near Clover Street.

This happened Tuesday morning. Brighton Police say the driver, a 95-year-old woman, was turning right on Monroe Avenue and crossed five lanes of traffic before she plowed through a sign and struck the building. The woman suffered minor injuries and wasn’t ticketed. Traffic wasn’t affected by the crash.
