RCSD staff and community members discuss school safety measures

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Board of Education held a meeting Thursday night to discuss safety within its schools.

RCSD staff members spoke about mental health and violence in Rochester and schools in general. Meanwhile, parents, teachers, administrators, and students voiced their own concerns and asked questions.

"I think that a part of the answer is to figure out ways we can add mentorship into our equation to come up with an answer to this solution," said one student, Isaiah Santiago.
