2 Sodus men are facing multiple charges after assault involving AK-47, axe

SODUS, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two Sodus men are facing multiple charges after an assault involving an AK-47 and an axe.

Nathan Rodriguez,19, and Joshua Hofer, 18, are facing multiple charges including assault, criminal mischief and menacing.

Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies say Rodriguez fired three rounds from an AK-47 towards an occupied vehicle and used the same weapon to attack and strike a person in their car. During the same altercation, deputies say Hofer used an axe to attack and strike the same victim and their car.

The victim sustained injuries and damage to their car.

Rodriguez and Hoffer were transported to the Wayne County Jail and were arraigned on Saturday.
