ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — RCSD Superintendent Dr. Lesli Myers-Small provided an update on Saturday afternoon from the district’s transportation center. She said the district is working with several community partners to try to arrange busing for all city students grades K-12 to receive in-person learning. This might include Regional Transit Service expanding its role in busing students.

"We’re operating from the principle that students will not have to go remote, gain some things are still in limbo but we know that parents and caregivers need to be notified," said Dr. Myers-Small.

The Board of Education for the Rochester City School District will hold an Emergency Work Session via Zoom tomorrow/Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to discuss updates related to district transportation and the school bus driver shortage. The meeting will be livestreamed via the RCSD’s Facebook and YouTube pages, and on the District’s website.
