First Alert Weather: The Unofficial End of Summer May Bring Some Summer Rain

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — It was a beautiful start to the holiday weekend. Low humidity and abundant sunshine was the perfect combination for this early September day.

The News 10 NBC First Alert forecast shows some changes starting later tonight. It will not be a washout, but, unfortunately, we will have to dodge a few showers and thundershowers for the remainder of the Labor Day weekend. This evening clouds will be on the increase with a few shows developing well after midnight. Expect the chance of a thundershower toward morning. It will not be as cool as the last few nights as the temperature will fall into the lower 60s.

Sunday will bring a few more showers and thundershowers, especially in the morning. Then the probability of rain will diminish, and it should be a little drier by the afternoon. We will find increasing amounts of humidity with the high temperature in the upper 70s.

There’s no reason to cancel the barbeque for Monday, but we again expect a few showers and maybe a thundershower for Labor Day. Monday will not be a washout as we should find some significant periods of dry weather by the afternoon. The high temperature will be in the mid-70s with the humidity falling throughout the day.

No severe weather is expected over the next few days.
