NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio considers run for governor in 2022

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York City’s mayor is considering a run for governor.
During an interview with MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Mayor Bill de Blasio announced he is "absolutely" considering future political office, which could include running for governor of New York in 2022.
The mayor said his focus right now is on working with Governor Kathy Hochul and "bringing the city back" after COVID and Ida.
When pressed on whether he was considering a run, Mayor de Blasio said he wants to keep serving in one way or another, and he’s going to look at different options.
