Police: Man pulled from burning car after crash on Lake Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A portion of Lake Avenue remains shut down following a fiery two-car crash Monday morning.

Rochester Police went to the scene on Lake Avenue near Lorimer Street around 6 a.m.

When crews go to the scene, they found at least one car on fire, with a man still inside. Firefighters were able to get the man out. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive. The other driver was also taken to strong is also expected to survive.

Police are still looking into what caused the crash.

Lake, between Phelps and Jones Avenues, is still closed.
