CBP seizes $2.8M worth of counterfeit designer watches in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — About $2.8 million worth of counterfeit designer watches were seized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Rochester Airport Port of Entry this month.

CBP officers investigated a shipment marked “Used Quartz Wristwatches” that came through in July and determined they were counterfeits.

On Aug. 15, they were seized for Intellectual Property Rights violations.

Anyone with information about counterfeit merchandise is encouraged to file an E-Allegation with CBP.
