CDC adds several travel destinations to ‘high risk’ list

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Thinking about traveling? Well, check it out, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has expanded its list of travel destinations with a "very high" COVID risk.

As of Tuesday, the CDC added 6 new countries. Among them, are the Bahamas and Morocco.

Countries that fall into the "very high" category have had more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days. In its broader travel guidance, the CDC says to avoid all international travel until you are fully vaccinated.

Other destinations added to the list include Haiti, Kosovo, Lebanon, and Sint Maarten.
