Rochester woman charged in deadly hit and run crash on Clifford Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Police say a Rochester woman is facing a manslaughter charge in connection to a hit and run crash that killed another woman earlier in August.
Rochester Police Tuesday announced that 30-year old Michelle Correia turned herself in following an investigation.
Correia is accused of hitting 20-year old Nyasia Walker with her car before driving away from the scene on Clifford Avenue back on Aug.9. Walker was crossing Clifford with a group of people when she was hit.
She later died at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Correia was charged with second-degree manslaughter 2nd and placed in the Monroe County Jail. She will be arraigned in Rochester City Court Tuesday morning.
