IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC)— Irondequoit Police are searching for another suspect as another faces charges as part of a parking lot shootout Wednesday afternoon.

Police went to the scene at the IHOP parking lot off North Goodman Street for a report of two men shooting at each other. When officers got to the scene, the men were not there, but officers did find a parked car that was struck by a bullet.

Nobody was in the car, and it was not believed to belong to either of the two men. Nobody was hurt.

Officers eventually found Malik Bailey, of Rochester, they also found a gun that they say was used in the shooting. Bailey was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and a count of criminal possession of a weapon.

IPD learned Bailey and the other man knew each other, and the shootout was not random. He is currently awaiting arraignment before an Irondequoit Town Justice.

Irondequoit Police are asking anyone with any information to call them at (585) 336-6000 or through the 911 center and ask for the on-duty Supervisor. You can also call the Rochester Police Crimestoppers Line at (585) 423-9300, or visit their website.
