Girls Rock Rochester holds prom for local LGBTQ teens

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Girls Rock Rochester hosted a prom for local LGBTQ teens. Organizers said they wanted to give LGBTQ kids a meaningful experience that everyone deserves.

Amanda Ashley Rodriguez, programs director of Girls Rock Rochester, said the event gives children an inclusive space.

Girls Rock Rochester is a local non-profit whose mission is to help girls and LGBTQ youth find self-confidence through music and performance.
