Portion of Norton Street reopens after shots fired in an apartment

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A portion of Norton Street has reopened after Rochester Police looked into shots fired in an apartment.

The shooting happened just after 8:30 at home on Norton, near Brookhaven Terrace.

Officers say they were able to call a person in the apartment to come out safely, and police found evidence shots were fired. Nobody was hurt.

Police say there is no further threat to the public. Officers did not say if any arrests were made.
