ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police, and fire investigators are looking for a man they say started a fire at his home Thursday night.

Crews went to the scene on Colvin Street of West Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Witnesses told investigators the man, who has not been named, poured gas on the second floor, set it on fire, and then ran away.

The witness said the man was due to be evicted from the home.

The fire gutted the bedroom and caused smoke damage to the rest of the home. Nobody was hurt.
