Batavia man charged with predatory sexual assault against a child

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Batavia man is jailed without bail, charged with rape and predatory sexual assault of a child.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s office arrested Melvin Huntley, 40, of Batavia. He’s accused of assaulting a child over an extended period dating back to 2014.
Huntley was arraigned in Batavia Town Court on Thursday.
Deputies say further charges are expected in this case.
