RPD: Woman hospitalized after being hit with hatchet on Chili Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A woman is in critical condition after being struck with a hatchet on Chili Avenue early Saturday morning.

Rochester Police say they responded around 1:15 a.m. to the 100 block of Chili Avenue for an unknown cause.

Upon arrival, officers found a 47-year-old woman with significant injuries believed to be caused by a hatchet.

The woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation.
