Willow Domestic Violence Center and Resolve of Greater Rochester to merge

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Two major domestic violence support organizations are merging together to expand mental health services.

Willow Domestic Violence Center and Resolve of Greater Rochester will become one entity to offer more services to those who need them.

All Resolve employees were offered roles in the new organization that will keep the Willow name.

Willow President and CEO Meaghan de Chateauvieux said they’ll be gaining more mental health services from resolve that they didn’t have before.

"What we were lacking was this really deep dive into trauma intervention and the mental health services and the staff clinical expertise," de Chateauvieux said.

"This way, now clients in our community no matter where they are on the spectrum of their healing journey can get full services under one nonprofit organization," said Resolve’s Interim CEO Mary Whittier.

Officials say the merge will be in full effect by early 2022.
