ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A major gift from a local couple will help the Veterans Outreach Center renovate and expand the Richard’s House Homeless Shelter.

Kevin and Stacey Morgan from Pittsford gave the center $634,000.

That money will go into Operation Safe Haven, the name of the campaign to renovate Richard’s House.

When it’s completed, the shelter will have the capacity for 18 additional beds for veterans in need.
