ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC has a follow-up to a "Good Question" report from January.
The Rochester Fire Department has a new boat. "Marine One" has finally been delivered to the Port of Rochester, a year late.
Initially, it was scheduled to be here last spring, but we found out that the boat got pushed back to the end of 2020 due to COVID-19 and building delays.
Then, winter hit. With limited options for storing the boat, the city asked the makers to hold off on delivery until this spring.
The custom-built rescue catamaran will be used for water rescues and to help fight fires along the Lake Ontario shoreline.
