ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — News10NBC celebrates Black History Month by honoring the people and places that have paved the way for many in the Rochester area.
Shawn Dunwoody uses his art as a force for change. From old bike stations re-purposed into hand sanitizing stations to a chalkboard mural, aiming to confront racism and invite healing, and an interactive space for artistic expression at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park.
Dunwoody uses public spaces to engage others to think and care about their community.
