The man named as a suspect in the disappearance of Chili teen Brittanee Drexel is expected to be released from jail.
According to the Charleston Post Courier, a U.S. district judge reinstated bail for 27-year-old Timothy Deshaun Taylor allowing him to be on house arrest with GPS monitoring.
Taylor’s sentencing for an unrelated robbery was put on hold, pending the outcome of a U.S Supreme Court decision about dual prosecutions.
He was never charged in the Drexel investigation, although a jailhouse informant told police he played a part in Drexel’s kidnapping.
Drexel was 17 years old when she vanished nine years ago while on spring break in Myrtle Beach.
The FBI believes she was kidnapped and killed.
