Inactive explosives found in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester Police went to the area of Raines Park and Seneca Parkway on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. for the report of discovered ammunition. Officers found ammunition, as well as older military artillery. A perimeter was set as the RPD Bomb Squad responded. During the course of the investigation, the military artillery was found to be inactive. The device was removed, and there is no threat to the community.
