Woman killed in crash in Palmyra

WAYNE COUNTY, N.Y. – An 89-year-old Newark woman was killed Thursday in a crash in Palmyra.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on State Route 31 at Gurnee Road.

Deputies say Barbara Farnsworth didn’t slow down at the stop sign and crashed into another car. She died at the scene.

The driver of the other car was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
