United Healing through Hope holds rally demanding end to violence

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — United Healing through Hope of Monroe County held another rally calling for an end to violence on Wednesday night.

It was at the North Union Street entrance of the Rochester Public Market. United Healing through Hope has held two other rallies this month to give anyone affected by violence the opportunity to demand change.

Clay Harris, the founder and president of United Healing through Hope, is asking the community to take action. “Let’s make a difference. Let’s say you care, show that you care,” he said.

The Rochester Police Department’s Open Data Portal says there have been 36 homicides and 177 shootings so far this year.
