Man fatally shot on Gilmore Street Friday night

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Friday at about 11:30 pm, Rochester Police went to 156 Gilmore St. where they fouund 51-year-old J B Blackburn in the street with a gunshot wound to his torso.
He was taken to URMC where he had emergency surgery, but died several hours later.
Police say Blackburn was inside 156 Gilmore St. when unknown person(s) knocked on the door. When the door opened, a fight broke out and Blackburn was shot.
