RoCo has busy installation day after receiving nearly 5K 6×6 pieces

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Contemporary Art Center had a busy installation day Thursday after receiving about 5,000 6×6 submissions.

The work will continue into Friday.

It’s all for the upcoming exhibit and fundraiser for the non-profit. Every piece will be $20. Buyers won’t know who the artist is until after they purchase the piece.

"The artwork is given to us by artists, professional artists, hobbyists, children, local celebrities, community leaders from all around the world," said RoCo Executive Director Bleu Cease. "Typically we have 40 countries represented in this exhibition."

The virtual opening and kick-off sale is on June 4.

The exhibit will be open through July 17.
