ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Lincoln Branch Library in Rochester reopened on Monday after a year of renovations.
The renovations included a new entrance and desks, a new business center, parking, and more. Lincoln Branch on Joseph Avenue is the only library on the northeast side of the city. Before it closed for renovations, it served more than 33,000 people a year, making it the most used branch in the Rochester Public Library System.
“These places were vital to our community, to our development of knowledge outside of just the regular school day,” said Rochester Councilmember Michael Patterson.
The Lincoln Branch also features a toy library, giving families access to toys and board games free of charge.
