BUFFALO, N.Y. (WHEC) – A Randolph man, 29-year-old Alexander Carnahan, pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child pornography. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison, a maximum of 30 years, and a $250,000 fine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles M. Kruly, who is handling the case, said that on January 15, 2020, and April 28, 2020, Carnahan removed the minor victim’s clothes and took a video of the victim’s naked body. Carnahan did so because he was sexually attracted to the victim, who was 11 years old. Law enforcement recovered additional images and videos of the victim during the investigation.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 17.
