Three-alarm fire on Lyell Ave

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – An old firehouse on Lyell Avenue was in flames Wednesday afternoon in Rochester.

Rochester Fire Department said it is now vacant and firefighters had to stay outside to knock it down.

There was a fire in the back of the building and heavy smoke throughout when they arrived on the scene. No one was injured.

RFD is investigating the cause of the fire.
