Livonia’s Reid VanScoter Drafted By Seattle Mariners

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Livonia High alum Reid VanScoter has been drafted in the 5th round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners.

During his time with Bulldogs in Section V, VanScoter was a four-year letter winner and 3x All-Greater Rochester Selection. In addition, the south paw was ranked the 110th best prospect in 2017 by Perfect Game. He finished his high school career with three no hitters (including one in a section championship game), a 31-1 record along with a 0.40 ERA.

After two years at Bighamton, the south paw transfered to Costal Carolina where he recently took home Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year and with conference 1st team honors.
