Stolen vehicles, arson and shots fired at one scene in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Rochester Police are investigating a wild scene Wednesday night involving shots fired, two stolen vehicles and a car fire.

Just before 10 p.m. RPD responded to the 100 block of Weyl St. for a shots fired call and when they arrived they found a vehicle engulfed in flames. They secured the scene and the Rochester Fire Department put out the fire.

Investigators determined that vehicle was stolen from Irondequoit. Nearby, they found a running, unoccupied vehicle that was also stolen out of Irondequoit. It’s unknown whether the second vehicle was directly involved with the shots fired or fire.

No one was injured and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
