WASHINGTON (WHEC) – The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday that the American economy added 372,000 jobs in June, going against looming concerns of a possible recession. That is far better than the 250,000 that was projected.
Unemployment has stayed steady at a low of 3.6%. Job growth was led by the education and health service industries. Also, average hourly earnings increased by 5.1% from last year, a bit higher than expected.
