Name released for victim of fatal car crash in Mendon

MENDON, N.Y. (WHEC) — Christa Hermanet, a 22-year-old woman of Shortsville, is the name of the woman who died in a car crash on Pittsford Mendon Road on Tuesday morning.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said that the other passenger was taken to Strong Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Deputies and the Honeoye Falls-Lima EMS responded to the crash in Mendon. Depuities said that the driver lost control and went off the road, crashing into a tree. The car then rolled several times.

Hermanet died at the scene and there was only one other passenger. An investigation is still ongoing.
