ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – What a wonderful start to our Sunday!

Cool and comfortable temperatures with abundant sunshine. These conditions will once again last through today thanks to high pressure to our northwest. Sunshine and highs near 80 are expected for today! Any outdoor plans will go on without any problems today. Heads up for a UV value of 8, which means the sunburn time is less than half an hour.

Then tonight, numerous towns have their fireworks celebrations! Weather looks great tonight with mainly clear skies and cool temperatures as they drop into the 60s. Grab the light jacket, but no issues on the way.

For the Fourth itself, we continue to look great as well. Sunny skies are expected, and high temperatures will reach the low 80s. It will turn a touch muggy late as a warm front moves well north, but no rain expected.

For fireworks tomorrow night, we will see some clouds increase across our region, but we are still expected to remain dry. Temperatures tomorrow evening will be a bit milder with temperatures in the 70s toward fireworks time! We will be tracking a chance for rain Monday night, but it won’t come until well after midnight as a cold front swings through for Tuesday.

Tuesday looks to feature mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms, especially in the afternoon. As of now, a threat for widespread severe weather is not expected, but a gusty shower or storm looks possible.
