Mat Mlodzinski: Both teams with missed opportunities

The Bills and Broncos have had unlimited numbers of chances to take this game in their favor. Denver continues to start with good field position but the Bills defense has forced them to keep punting. Buffalo’s four turnovers are ending drives prematurely. For fans of offensive football, this one isn’t a fun watch.

Jackson Roberts: Bills offense still out of a groove

The Bills offense continues to sputter and haven’t gone up-tempo much. Perhaps the latter can help fix the problem. Their lone TD–and good looking drive–came when they went no-huddle for a majority of it.

Mat Mlodzinski: Turnovers, turnovers, and MORE TURNOVERS

Everyone is to blame in this one. While Josh Allen’s first interception can be blamed on Gabe Davis, his second one – looking for Stefon Diggs – just wasn’t a good decision. Allen now has the longest streak of games with an interception for a Bills QB since Ryan Fitzpatrick in 2011 (six games). The turnovers are adding up and costing his team.

Simply put, the offense is bad. Three drives, no points, including two turnovers. Gabe Davis should’ve caught that ball that wound up being picked off. The defense is the only bright spot.

Two first quarter turnovers tell you all you need to know about the states of the Bills offense. James Cook fought for extra yards and had the ball stripped from his arms. Then, a Josh Allen pass went through the hands of Gabe Davis and into a Broncos defender. Losing the turnover battle won’t win you many games.
