ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A woman is fighting for her life after police say she was shot Sunday night.

Rochester police say the shooting happened on Dewey Avenue near Emerson Street around 8:45 p.m. Officers responded to the area after reports of shots fired, and found the 24-year-old victim shot at the scene.

Police say she is in critical condition as of Monday morning, and that she is being treated at the hospital.
