Man, 64, in critical condition after stabbing on Lake Avenue

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is in critical condition after being stabbed on Lake Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Police say they responded to the area at 4 p.m. and saw the 64-year-old Rochester man inside a parked vehicle with several stab wounds. The victim was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital and treated for serious injuries.

Police say his current condition is critical, but stable.

Officials say one suspect has been detained in relation to the stabbing, and there is no threat to the public.

There is an active investigation, but Lake Avenue and there surrounding streets have be reopened to traffic. Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911.
