UPDATE: Deputies are investigating after stage at Highland Park vandalized
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after base of the Highland Bowl stage at Highland Park was vandalized with the words “Palestine will be free from the river to the sea”.
A Monroe County Parks employee discovered vandalism just after 1 p.m. on Christmas Day and reported it to police. News10NBC saw tarps covering the stage and crews with the Monroe County Parks Department repainting the stage.
Deputies say the vandalism happened overnight between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Deputies are still investigating and will conduct directed patrols in the park.
