First Alert Weather: Winter enthusiasts are probably not happy with our weather
Today will make four days in a row with temperatures well above normal for Western New York. And the warmer than usual weather is expected to continue through mid-week. Temperatures are running at 10 to 20 degrees above normal and, as a result, any precipitation is likely in the form of rain. This rainfall will be enhanced as another area of low-pressure will be moving north along a weak front. This means there will be a period of a widespread soaking rain expected over the next 24 hours.
Tonight, look for more rain showers — especially later tonight. The temperature will only fall into the middle 40s. Typically, this time of the year the temperature is dropping into the middle 20s. Good idea to keep the umbrella handy for Wednesday as a steady light rain will be likely through most of the day. Once again, the temperature will be near 50 degrees. More passing showers are possible for Thursday with a temperature in the middle 40s.
Then finally it turns colder for later Friday and Saturday with passing flurries or a snow shower possible. At this point, the News10NBC First Alert meteorologists expect little of no accumulation.
