At least 4 homes shot overnight, 8 since Sunday night

ROCHESTER N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester police responded to bullets striking at least four homes with people inside overnight on Tuesday. One home was shot on two occasions, several hours apart.

At least seven homes have been shot since Sunday night, according to police.

The Rochester Police Department responded to reports of shots fired around the 200 block of Parsells Avenue around 11 p.m. on Monday. They found that bullets struck a house that had two people inside.

Six hours later, around 5:15 a.m., officers found that the same house was struck again. This time there was no one inside. Also around that time on Parsells Avenue, officers responded to a home being hit by gunfire with two adults and two children inside.

After 1 a.m., RPD began investigating bullets striking a home around Ackerman Street and Bay Street. Three adults and five children, including a 1-year-old, were inside the home when gunfire struck. RPD arrested a 19-year-old man after investigating the shooting.

Just before 4 a.m. RPD responded to a report for shots fired on Arnett Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found that gunfire struck a home with five adults inside.

No one was injured in these three reported home shooting overnight. There are no suspects in custody for the Parsells Avenue and Arnett Boulevard shooting and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
