Kodak Center crash victims remembered with vigil Sunday
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A candlelight vigil for the victims of the deadly New Year’s Day crash took place on Sunday night outside the Kodak Center. Friends, family and first responders gathered outside the Kodak Center.
Two people, Justina Hughes and Joshua Orr, were killed when a sports utility vehicle filled with gas cans crashed into their Uber. Dawn Revette, who was walking outside the venue and was struck, died earlier this week.
The suspect who caused the crash, Michael Avery from Syracuse, is also dead. It’s still not clear why he planned the crash or why he chose Rochester as the place to do it. But, investigators have ruled out terrorism.
