Man dies and another injured in separate Wayne County motorcycle crashes

ARCADIA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A 38-year-old died on Sunday after his motorcycle slid off the road and into a ditch on State Route 88 in Arcadia. A 39-year-old motorcyclist was injured near the same spot the same day. 

Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the pair of accidents happened near Chapel Road.

Derick Haak, 38 from the town of Ontario, died at the scene. Deputies said his motorcycle hit a parked car, a mailbox, and a tree after it slid into the ditch. 

Mark Fisher, 39 of Sodus, was taken to Strong Hospital by helicopter after his motorcycle crashed. His crash happened farther down the road than the first crash. There’s no word on his condition yet.
