Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy injured by startled horse has been released from hospital

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy who was injured by a startled horse on Thursday morning has been released from the hospital.

The sheriff’s office says the Mounted Unit deputy is recovering from minor injuries. She was injured while carrying out duties at the Mounted Barn and taken to the hospital.

A statement from the sheriff’s office says: “Thank you for the well-wishes for our Deputy. We expect a full recovery.”
